Bereavement care pathways parental advisory group in Wales

The NBCP in Wales is led by the Welsh Maternity & Neonatal Network in partnership with Sands and supported by healthcare organisations and baby loss charities. It has received a positive welcome since its launch in September, with a number of key stakeholders joining the first oversight group meeting where consultation on Welsh bereavement standards was initiated.

The formation of the Wales Parental Advisory Group is underway, ensuring parent voices are at the heart of the pathways as they are developed. Sands want to ensure that the pathways include lived experiences of families across Wales and so are actively recruiting to ensure that all those that feel they would want to contribute and advise on the pathways can.
