The Five Bereavement Care Pathways
About the NBCP
The NBCP was initiated by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for baby loss. Piloted in 11 sites in 2017/18, the NBCP is now used in 99% of NHS England hospital sites.
The pathway is led by Sands (www.sands.org.uk), advised by a group or bereaved parents and is overseen by a Core Group of representatives from baby loss charities and professional organisations.
The pathway is also live in all NHS Scotland Health Boards; see our sister site www.nbcpscotland.org.uk for further details.
